Supportive, Empathetic, and Insightful
Before becoming a social worker, I held a career in public safety. Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to helping those in their most difficult moments. When it came time for a career change, the natural progression led me toward another career that would allow me to continue helping others.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Loma Linda University School of Behavioral Health and bring extensive experience in psychotherapy, medical social work for patients undergoing liver and kidney transplants, and academia as a Master's level professor at Loma Linda University School of Social Work. I have served as a designated clinician for after-hours hospital reviews and mental health inpatient authorizations, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to guide clinical decision-making.
I work with clients to uncover strengths and develop skills to live, feel, and function better. Everyone has individual needs, and therapy and counseling must be tailored to meet them accordingly. I can help you uncover and work toward what you want from your life and relationships.
I use diverse interventions from schools of therapy, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is low-pressure and non-judgmental.
I have ample clinical experience in providing therapy to those who have experienced trauma, specializing in individuals who serve in the military and public safety.
When I am not helping people, I spend my spare time assisting furry four-legged animals. I am a proud mom to French Bulldogs and help a small local rescue. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, traveling, and working out. Balance is vital in life. I am here to help you obtain your footing and achieve your goals.
